POIS. (Points of Interest in Spain)

The Pois, is points of interest for your GPS.

They consist of coordinates that mark a point in which it is what we want to locate. Radars, Powerboats, Restaurants, etc.

Next, we put you for its unloading, different Pois.

These put in the GPS just as the Radars, but when loading the data with the Poiloder, instead of putting that it warns to us by proximity (radars) we will not mark anything. Except in the Radars that interest us that it warns us when approximating us to lower the foot.

Before installing some Pois.

For that you begin to install POIs, comentaros, that when you install something new in the GPS, you must return to already install EVERYTHING what you had, plus the new thing which you want to install in the GPS, that the new installation it crushes everything what you installed previously.

For example, if you had the installed Radars and you are going to install POis de Gasolineras, you must install of new the Radars and the POIs de Gasolineras. All this Radares and POIs de Gasolineras in the same folder in your PC.

Like ordering the Pois.

In order to avoid to be installing all every time which we want to introduce new Points of Interest, you can make the following thing.

The best thing is to have categories of POIS. Whenever you introduce something with the Poiloader, after passing the data to the GPS to change the name to the file that it generates to me, of “poi.gpi “to for example Radares.gpi. if which is radars we have installed. This file is within the GPS, folder GARMIN/POIS.

As we have already commented to you, whenever load something with the POILOADER, this is sobrewriting on the file “existing Poi.gpi” and erasing its content, and but it exists creates it. For that reason when you put pois to put them one by one (by categories) and to be renombrando the Poi.gpi file with the name of the Poi that you put in the GPS.

Example: To put single the radars. Soon to go to the Poi.gpi file and to change the name to Radares.gpi. To put the powerboats and as the Poi.gpi file does not exist because change the name to Radares.gpi, the GPS will create a new Poi.gpi file to us, to go to the file Poi.gpi and to renombrar to Gasolineras.gpi.

You can activate or deactivate pois that interests to you that it shows the navigator to you, this way you can have all pois in the GPS and according to the moment or the necessity, to activate those that interest to you.

NOTE: To remember that whenever you manipulate the GPS archives you can equivocaros. For that reason we recommended to make copy of the archives of the GPS to the PC.
